Kitchen

the fridge nook before
before

mostly before

a blank wall and the chimney
Good bye base cabinets
Opening for the pocket door
No more upper cabinets, and getting rid of molding insulation
no wonder the floor felt soft it spots, the sub floor has gaping holes in it!
and then there was no floor
wow, it looks really ugly. ( I would never had admitted that at the time)
new sistered joists.

its about 11pm on Sunday night in the picture above, but the subfloor is all in.
tired smiles from all!
Finally we move on to insulation and electrical.

and then the vapor barrier.

while I am out my house is covered in a thick layer of dust, (I got the drywall done.)

and texture

then we primed and painted.
I used stucco to cover the cinder blocks

the finish coat of Stucco on the chimney

The tile got laid down. and then things really started coming together.
I think Bryna is eating not yawning.

A hood over the stove

Pulls make opening the doors much easier

A magnetic chalk board in the side of the pantry
One light fixture installed, I haven't even gotten one for the other side....

and a kitchen sink, maybe the best thing in the world after months of not having one.

so good it gets two pictures!
The new window

Under-cabinet Lighting

(Finally,) the open shelves went up.

And then we put lights underneath them.

  1. You need a pic of the bathroom door too! and some set ups of the same angle of the before pics. :) That will really add some wow factor. :)
